Jackson had a rough night on Sunday and a rough day yesterday. His infection markers and his oxygen requirement both increased. He got a PICC line put in (his first PICC line). The cardiologist came by to do an EHCO to make sure his heart is still working well (it is). The Infectious Disease Department was called for a consult and changed up his antibiotics. He was also put back on intubation watch. Needless to say, yesterday was not a good day.
However, this past 24 hours has been a little better. His heart rate and respiration rate have decreased. The doc just took him off intubation watch and he is starting to get food through his PICC line.
Jackson got a fancy “congratulatory” certificate after the PICC line was placed successfully. The placement was efficient and routine, what every parent hopes for.

Our priest came to visit yesterday evening and prayed over Jackson.
Jackson has a long way to go. We are hoping he continues to improve and there are no set backs. We appreciate all of your support and your prayers.
Sending love and prayers, we are thinking of all of you. God Bless. Aunt Pam, & Uncle Joe
