We are back in the PICU at Cincinnati Children’s. Today is Day 10 inpatient with no signs of getting discharged. This is going to be our longest hospital stay. Jackson came in last Friday evening with a virus, which has turned into pneumonia. He has been on BiPAP since last Sunday and he has been about the same all week. He hasn’t yet turned a corner. It’s been stressful, to say the least, waiting for him to get better.

Jackson has been through a battery of tests, which all suggest pneumonia. No other viruses or infections have popped up. He spiked a fever Wednesday, last night and today. It seems like he’s on all the antibiotics. The doctors are trying to figure out which antibiotics he will respond best to.

Josh and I are taking turns sleeping at the hospital. We stay during the day when we are not working. Our family members also fill in so someone can be with him 24/7.

Thank you to everyone who has called, texted and dropped off food. We appreciate all of it.
