Jackson turned one this weekend and we celebrated with the first of his two birthday parties.  Not that he is spoiled or anything.  Santina and her family did a great job on the event.  It was reassuring to many family members to see Jackson, many for the first time since he was diagnosed.  Some were not sure what to expect with respect to Jackson.  Would be be responsive?  Would he look “normal?” Are Santina & Josh okay?  Yes, yes, and yes  He is beautiful, healthy, and happy.

Having a special needs child makes you appreciate every day and every year.  Thanks to the entire family, Jackson’s first birthday and first year were wonderful.

We will have the First Birthday Party – Kentucky Version this weekend.  Will we wear shoes?  Will there be more guests than teeth?  Come back to see.
